RDR2 – Aeonic Reshade

The aim of my Aeonic ReShade series is to bring photo-realism to multiple games, but here we have a chance to have what Red Dead Redemption on PC should have been. This is photo-realistic all the way… I didn’t feel bound or restricted like I did the Witcher 3 or GTAV, I just yeeted it. Spent countless hours adjusting and tweaking for the perfect visuals, contrast and atmosphere then added a little bit of a grittiness, because cowboys, westerners and the frontier….

2nd hardest thing was balancing the look of day vs night, trying to get it to look like a truly moonlit environment but I think I nailed it, the absolute hardest was saving the frames… Many presets were scrapped. Anyway, the ReShade is still a ‘Work in Progress’ and I absolutely plan on improving it further. It’s hard trying to find the perfect balance so I plan to continue experimenting with different filters for further progression of the ReShade while possibly providing varied versions along the way.
